Here's what comes next

As an applicant, you'll go through the following stages…

Decision process

We get hundreds of applicants for our graduate scheme. Each year we whittle this down to approximately 30 graduates across all offices.

We select these by assessing your grades, your character, your ability and passion for the professional sector.

Online Tests

If you pass through to the next stage, we will require you to take two tests:

General Intelligence Assessment
Personality Profile Assessment

We do this to gauge your general ability and commitment, as well as to ensure you will be a good fit for our company and culture.

First Interview

Once completing the online tests and if successful, you will be asked to attend your first interview. This will either be in person or online. Depending on which office you have applied to, this will be with one of our regional partners and a manager.

This initial interview will assess your knowledge in either accountancy or tax, as well giving you an opportunity to understand Barnes Roffe a little better.

We only take on a small percentage of applicants each year. We want to aid your progression and fully invest our time in giving you the support you need to pass your exams.

Our graduates aren't just a number to us, the hope is you will become a fully integrated part of Barnes Roffe and become our future managers and partners.

The majority of our partners passed through our graduate scheme, just the same as you.

Could you be one of them?

Second Interview

You may be asked to attend a second interview. This will most likely be in person at the chosen office you are assigned to, and will take place with a different partner of that office alongside another manager.

This second interview will allow us to assess your personality better and how you would engage and interact with clients. It also gives you the opportunity to test your commute and give you a feel of the office.

Acceptance letter

If you have been successful in both interviews, we will send you a letter welcoming you on board!

This will let you know all the hows, what, wheres, alongside your starting date and what needs to be done next.
